5. Platform Porter (A 2): 595 Posts

Age Limit: Candidates age limit is 18-33 years for UR, 18-36 years for OBC & 18-38 years for SC/ ST candidates as on 01-01-2014. Special Relaxation of Age Limit is applicable as per the rules.

Educational Qualification: Candidates must pass minimum 10th class/ ITI or equivalent from recognized Educational Institution/ Board, otherwise candidates will be rejected.

Examination Fee: Candidates has to pay Rs.100/- through Indian Postal Order drawn in favour of ‘Assistant Personnel Officer (Recruitment), RRC-WR’ & payable at Mumbai. Candidates belonging to SC/ ST, Ex-Servicemen, Persons with Disabilities, Women, Minority communities and Economically Backward Classes are exempted from payment of Examination Fee.

Selection Process: Candidates would be selected based on their performance in Written Examination, Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Merit.

How to Apply: Interested candidates must send applications can be downloaded from the website of RRC-WR (i.e www.rrc-wr.com) complete in all respects along with all relevant enclosures in an envelope superscribed as “Application for the Posts in Pay Band I/ GP-Rs.1800/- of Western Railway” shall be sent by ordinary post to Assistant Personnel Officer (Recruitment), Railway Recruitment Cell, Western Railway, Parcel Depot, Alibhai Premji Road, Grant Road (East), Mumbai-400 007. The application can also be dropped in the Drop Box provided at the RRC/ WR Office on or before 14-01-2014 by 17.00 hrs and 29-01-2014 by 17.00 hrs for remote areas.

Age Limit: Candidates’ age limit must be between 18 to 25 years as on 01-01-2014. No age relaxation is permissible.

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed Matriculation/ ITI or its equivalent and must represented the country in any of the category – C Championship/ events or at least 3rd position in Federation Cup Championships (Senior category) or represented a State of equivalent unit, except in Marathan and Cross Country, in Senior/Youth/Junior National Championship.

Examination Fee: Candidates have to pay the Demand Draft/ Crossed Indian Postal order for Rs.100/- drawn in favour of Sports Secretary, Machanical Workshop, North Easter Railway, Gorakhpur payable at Gorakhpur. All SC/ ST/ Sikh/ Mushlim/ Buddisht/ Zorastrian (Parsi) candidates are exempted from payment of examination fee.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on trial, assessment of sports achievements and general intelligence/personality etc.

How to Apply: Eligible candidates can send their applications in the prescribed format in English or Hindi language by affix one recent passport size photograph along with two extra passport size self attested photographs, self attested copies of certificates in proof of age, Educational qualification, Community, Sports achievement/certificate etc, examination fee, enclosed in an envelope superscribed in bold letters “Application for Group D Post against Sports quota 2013-14 (Open Advertisement Scheme).”, should reach to Senior Personnel Officer (Workshop), in Mechanical Workshop, North Eastern Railway, Gorakhpur – 273012 so as to reach on or before 15-12-2013.
