Steel Authority of India Limited, a Maharatna Company and a leading steel-making company in India with a turnover of Rs. 49,350 crore, is in the process of modernizing and expanding its production units, raw material resources and other facilities to maintain its dominant position in the Indian steel market.
Salem Steel Plant, a Special Steels Plant of Steel Authority of India Ltd. (SAIL), with modernised facilities produces Cold rolled stainless steel, Hot rolled carbon & stainless steel products and micro-alloyed carbon steel. Salem Steel Plant invites applications from eligible candidates for the following posts.
  1. Medical Officers (ME-1) : 02 Posts
  2. Attendant cum Technician Trainee (S-1)* : 53 Posts
Training Period:
Candidates selected for the post of Attendant cum Technician (Trainee) will be placed on training for the initial period of two years. On successful completion of two year’s training period they shall be regularized in S-1 Grade.
Age:
a)   Medical officer:  30 years as on 01-10-2013 (Maximum age)
b)  Attendant cum Technician Trainee (ACTT) : 28 years as on 01-10-2013 (Maximum age)
(Minimum age for Attendant-cum-Technician Trainees – 18 years)
